About me

Lic. Andrea Raquel Ikonicoff

M.N. 31442

I am a licensed clinical psychologist, social worker and a qualified psychoanalyst with years of experience in providing therapy, both face to face in my office and online.

Migrations and diversity have been crucial experiences that have left deep traces in my life. In those experiences of traveling, studying and inhabiting other cultures, I have learned that there are different ways of living, thinking, bonding, feeling.

This curiosity to observe diversity turned into passion to learn about the complexity of the human being, their creative capacity and their transformative potential.

After many years of studying and working with people, I came to the conviction that you can be a “visitor” in your own life and live it without desire, without discovering your own meaning, and thinking that all your suffering is beyond the reach of your hands, or you can take the opportunity to change that point of view, get to know yourself deeply and try to live your life in your own way, as the protagonist.

You can read about my education in Israel and Argentina, my work in Public Institutions, my private clinic and my membership to national and international psychoanalytic associations.

But the most important thing I have learned in more than 25 years is that each encounter between two people is unique and special. And when you work in an environment of intimacy, affection and understanding, people can transform their life profundly.
